The comedian shared on Twitter a picture of him from his 2003 film 'Head of State' and wrote alongside it, 'I'm gonna run in 2020 wish me luck.'
The 2020 presidential race is already looking interesting. While a lot of Americans still find Donald Trump's unexpected win hard to deal with, Chris Rock announced on Twitter that he's going to run for president in 2020.
The comedian took to the social media Thursday, November 10 to post a picture of himself from "Head of State", the 2003 movie in which his character ended up becoming the new presidential candidate after the original nominees die in a plane accident.
"I'm gonna run in 2020 wish me luck," he wrote in the caption. Rock was probably just joking, but some of his fans already expressed desire to vote for him. "One vote already," one of his followers commented. "you better not be joking right now!!" another wrote.

If he's really running for the White House in the next four years, Rock will apparently face tough competition from Kanye West, who declared his presidential bid last year during an acceptance speech at the 2015 MTV VMAs.
But Rock and West's biggest competitor might be Michelle Obama. The FLOTUS has been everyone's favorite to be the country's first female president since Hillary Clinton shockingly lost the November 8 election.
