Jessica Chastain Saves Innocent Lives From Nazis in 'Zookeeper's Wife' Trailer

The 'Crimson Peak' star plays a woman who becomes a lifesaver for many Jews when Nazis are invading Poland during World War II.

Jessica Chastain plays a real-life hero named Antonina Zabinska in the trailer of true-story movie "The Zookeeper's Wife". She opens her home to Jews, hiding them in the cages of her dark basement to save them from the cruel Nazis who are invading their country.

The movie tells the story of a working wife and mother who became a hero to hundreds during World War II. In 1939 Poland, Antonina and her husband have the Warsaw Zoo flourishing under his stewardship and her care. When the Nazis are forcing their way into their country, Jan and Antonina are stunned and forced to report to the Reich's newly appointed chief zoologist, Lutz Heck (Daniel Bruhl).

To fight back on their own terms, the couple covertly begins working with the Resistance and puts into action plans to save lives out of what has become the Warsaw Ghetto. Antonina puts herself and even her children at great risk in the process.
