Jussie a.k.a. Jamal Lyon will perform his new song in next week's episode of the hit FOX series.
Jussie Smollett's new song for "Empire" has been released. Jussie who plays Jamal Lyon on the hit FOX series will perform his new track, "Mama", about his on-screen mom Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) in next week's episode titled "What We May Be".
Jussie sings, "Mama, I love you/ Mama, Mama, Mama I do love you/ Mama, I love you/ Mama, Mama, Mama I do love you/ I never know someone who sacrifices everything for love, even give up that for life."
In this season of "Empire", Jamal has been on a rocky road back to the spotlight, as he makes his return to the stage. The song's lyrics suggest that though things haven't always been the greatest between Jamal and Cookie, blood is always thicker than water.
"What We May Be" airs on Wednesday, November 30 at 9 P.M. ET/PT on FOX.
