Boreanaz also posted on Twitter a picture of him and co-star Michaela Conlin covered in blood and ash as they're filming the series finale this week.
Is this the fate of the Jeffersonian lab when "Bones" ends? David Boreanaz has shared some behind-the-scenes photos as they're filming the series finale this week, hinting at a major event that may destroy the lab where most of the scenes on the series were set.
In one of the pictures, the actor who plays FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth was seen standing among the wreckage of what was the series' main location. "At the helm. Gonna be a Great goodbye to all the fans who have supported us for 12 seasons!" he captioned it.

It's safe to assume that whatever causes the massive destruction will not leave some of the characters unscathed. In another image, Boreanaz and co-star Michaela Conlin were covered in blood and ash as they posed together. He wrote along with it, "Gonna miss this one. Allentown love !"
