Carrie Fisher Hospitalized After Suffering Heart Attack on Airplane

The 'Star Wars' actress reportedly stops breathing during her flight from London, 15 minutes before her plane is about to land in Los Angeles.

Carrie Fisher was recently rushed to hospital for emergency health crisis. The Princess Leia of "Star Wars" movie series reportedly suffered a massive heart attack and stopped breathing during her fight back home to Los Angeles from London.

The incident happened 15 minutes before the plane was scheduled to land. Once it touched down at the airport, the 60-year-old actress who was busy promoting her new memoir "The Princess Diarist" these past few weeks was transferred to hospital.

An actress named Anna Akana who was on the airplane with Fisher broke the story on Twitter. "Don't know how else to process this but Carrie Fisher stopped breathing on the flight home. Hope she's gonna be OK," she wrote. "So many thanks to the United flight crew who jumped into action, and the awesome doctor and nurse passengers who helped."

The eyewitness added, "Feel weird even tweeting about it but I JUST finished her book and was fangirling out over seeing her dog Gary in person. Gah."
