Sia Furler releases a new ballad "Angel by the Wings", which serves as the soundtrack of coming-of-age documentary film "The Eagle Huntress". The Greg Kurstin-produced song is described as an "uplifting pop song" which showcases Sia's mesmerizing vocals.
"Take an angel by the wings/ Beg her now for anything/ Beg her now for one more day/ Take an angel by the wings/ Time to tell her anything/ Ask her for the strength to stay," Sia sings, before launching into a powerful refrain of "You can do anything."
"Angel by the Wings" earned Sia her first Critics' Choice Documentary Award nomination for Best Song in a Documentary category.
"I'm incredibly grateful that Sia took the time to write and record this very special song," said "The Eagle Huntress" director Otto Bell, "It's a wonderful vote of confidence for our documentary. I could not have imagined a more fitting, timeless piece of music for the film - it's such a beautiful girl power anthem!"
"The Eagle Huntress" follows the story of Aisholpan, a 13-year old Mongolian girl who aims to become the first female eagle hunter in the 2,000 years of the male-dominated history. The movie is narrated and executive produced by Daisy Ridley.
