Khalid Slams Fan Who Groped Him: 'Don't Disrespect Me While I'm Being Nice'

The 19-year-old musician stated that the incident happened when he was talking to the said fan, adding that fans should not disrespect him when he was being nice.

Khalid has taken to Twitter to speak up about a zealous female fan who allegedly groped his ass. The 19-year-old R&B artist didn't specify where the incident took place, though his tweets on the subject were sent shortly after he performed at the 2017 American Music Awards, which was held on Sunday, November 19.

Khalid stated that the incident happened when he was talking to the said fan. "Lol I go to talk to a fan and she grabs my ass, how f***in old are we???" he tweeted, adding that fans should not disrespect him when he was being nice. "I love interacting and talking to fans but I also love respecting others so don't disrespect me when I'm being nice."

The "American Teen" singer, who made his debut in 2016, continued by saying that he ignored the fan because he didn't like showing anger in public. He also assured his fans that the incident wouldn't keep him away from them. "I ignored it because I don't like showing anger in front of anyone," he continued. "One s****y person isn't going to keep me away from anybody. I really love you guys."

Following his tweets, many fans left mentions on his Twitter account, saying that they respected him for speaking about it. A fan wrote, "I respect you so much for mentioning what happened. Nobody should experience this type of treatment," to which Khalid responded, "Spoke about it because it can happen to anybody!"

Khalid was not the only male singer who was sexually harassed by fans. Last month, Harry Styles had his crotch grabbed by an overzealous fan during his performance of "Kiwi". In a fan-captured video, the 23-year-old singer went to the very front of the stage to get the audience excited, getting down on his knees. A fan then reached out and touched his crotch, leading Harry to quickly get up while shoving the fan's hand.
