The 'Cold Water' hitmaker took home prizes for Biggest Fans, Best Canadian Act and Best Song for 'Sorry'.
Justin Bieber once again became the biggest winner at the MTV Europe Music Awards. While the "Cold Water" hitmaker did not attend the event held in Rotterdam, Netherlands on Sunday, November 6, he took home prizes for Biggest Fans, Best Canadian Act and Best Song for "Sorry".
Lady GaGa, Twenty One Pilots and Martin Garrix each won two awards. GaGa, who was also not present at the show, nabbed Best Female and Best Look, Twenty One Pilots won Best Alternative and Best Live Act, while Martin was honored with Best Electronic and Best World Stage Performance. Another victorious absentee was Drake who won Best Hip-Hop.
Beyonce Knowles, who led the 2016 EMAs nominations alongside Justin, failed to win in any of her five categories.
Hosted by Bebe Rexha, the 2016 EMAs airs at 8 P.M. ET/PT on MTV in the U.S. Performers included The Weeknd, Bruno Mars, Green Day, OneRepublic, Afrojack, Shawn Mendes, DNCE, Lukas Graham and Zara Larsson.
G-Eazy, Jaden Smith, Jourdan Dunn, Winnie Harlow, Deepika Padukone, Nina Dobrev, Charli XCX, Tinie Tempah and Idris Elba, meanwhile, served as presenters.
