In the said 'leaked' script from season 3, Elliot reveals how much he's disappointed by the results of the presidential election.
Just when you thought Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek) couldn't be more disappointed with the society, the results of the presidential election have only reaffirmed his jaded view of the world around him. "Mr. Robot" creator Sam Esmail took to Twitter on Friday, November 11 to share a screenshot of "leaked" script showing Elliot's reaction to Donald Trump's unexpected win.
In the scene, Elliot sits across from his therapist Krista, who asks him, "What is it about society that disappoints you so much?" Elliot responds, "Oh, that's easy. Donald Trump was just elected President of the United States." Krista seems to understand him, nodding and saying, "Good point."

Esmail wrote in the caption, "Season 3 script leaked," but it's highly unlikely that the scene will be featured in the upcoming third season of the USA Network series. The new installment is expected to arrive in 2017, but Esmail, who directed every episode of the second season, said back in June that he wanted a longer break between seasons 2 and 3.
"Personally, I think this is another weird, archaic judgment on television shows, where you have to bring them back at a certain schedule or you're going to lose your audience," he said. "Is it better to rush something that's not as good just to stay on schedule because you're afraid of losing viewers?"
