USA Network has ordered a pilot to 'Unsolved', which will chronicle investigations in the murders of the two rappers.

Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G.'s unsolved murders will be the highlight of a new true crime drama. USA Network has given the greenlight to a pilot for "Unsolved", a scripted true crime series that chronicles two major police investigations into the shooting deaths of famed rappers and rivals, Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G., who were killed six months apart.

Former LAPD Detective Greg Kading, who penned "Murder Rap: The Untold Story of Biggie Smalls & Tupac Shakur Murder Investigations", is consulting on the pilot script and will serve as co-executive producer. Kading led multiple law-enforcement task forces investigating the murders.

Emmy-nominated director Anthony Hemingway ("American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson") will direct the pilot, while Kyle Long ("Suits") will write the script. Hemingway and Long will also executive produce the series along with Mark Taylor.

"Unsolved" is the latest take on the murders of Tupac and Notorious B.I.G. Open Road Films is developing "Labyrinth" starring Johnny Depp as a disgraced LAPD detective who teams up with a reporter to uncover the truth behind the murders.
