The 'Fancy' rapper and the 'No Shopping' hitmaker are blasted by social media users after posing with an elephant at his backyard during his 32nd birthday celebration.
Iggy Azalea and French Montana has come under fire for posing with an elephant at his backyard during his 32nd birthday celebration. The couple are accused of animal abuse and cruelty by social media users.
On Wednesday, November 9, Iggy shared a photo of her posing with an elephant wearing jewelry around its forehead and ankles. The "Fancy" rapper donned a pink crop top, leggings and grey booties.
French, meanwhile, stroke a similar pose with the elephant by putting one feet in the air. He sported a red-and-gold robe while holding a cup of drink. He captioned it, "I love animals more than people !! Happy bday to me. positive vibes at the Casa."
Animal lovers were not happy with the photo. One user commented, "Poor elephant!!! ANIMAL ABUSE." A second user posted, "Seriously you so called celebs are in a position to educate so many people about the atrocities behind captive entertainment yet you endorse it... shame on you! You could have such a big voice for the voiceless... I wonder how many times that elephant got brutally beaten to perform that trick just for you."
A third user shared, "This is disgusting. Can't be an animal lover if you partake in this kind of s**t!" Another commenter wrote, "If you really loved animals, you would not participate in such cruelty...please become enlightened."
French later reacted to the backlash on Twitter, posting, "Shut yo ass up that elephant was a surprise for my bday in my yard when I walked out and was from the zoo and people that take care of it."
