The 'America's Got Talent' host posts an Instagram picture of him lying in the hospital bed, but assures his fans that he'll be fully recovered before the New Year.
This is clearly not the best Christmas for Nick Cannon. Through an Instagram post he shared on Thursday, December 22, the "America's Got Talent" host revealed that he's going to spend the holiday in the hospital due to his ongoing battle with Lupus.
Cannon posted a picture of him lying in the hospital bed with his left arm wrapped in bandage. "For all who have been trying to contact me the last few days this is where I've been. And I will be in the Hospital through Christmas," he captioned it.
He went on assuring his fans that he's going to get better soon. "All good though, Doctors say I will be back to normal before the New Year," he continued and added the hashtags #LupusSucks #ncredible #warrior.
Cannon was diagnosed with Lupus in 2012. He opened up about living with the disease in a chat with Huffington Post earlier this year. "It was super scary just because you don't know... you've never heard of [lupus]," he said. "I knew nothing about it until I was diagnosed... But to me, I'm healthier now than I've ever been before."
"When you hear the words 'autoimmune disease' or 'lupus,' it's like, 'Whoa, what is that?' " he shared. "That's how I felt, and that's how my family and friends felt as well... But you realize it's something that you can live with and actually overcome with the proper research and with the proper support system."
While Cannon is hospitalized, his ex-wife Mariah Carey and their kids are currently having fun in Aspen, Colorado. The singer and her twin children, Monroe and Moroccan, are joined by her new boyfriend Bryan Tanaka during her annual holiday.
