'Teen Wolf' Crew Member Hints Dylan O'Brien Won't Return for Season 6B

Read the cryptic message posted by a costume designer about working with O'Brien that has made fans freak out.

The future of Dylan O'Brien's Stiles looks bleak on "Teen Wolf" season 6. Having made fans worry that he wouldn't be able to return to the sixth and final season due to serious injuries that he got while filming "The Maze Runner: The Death Cure", the actor recovered just in time for the shooting on the show's new season. But now rumor emerged that his character may not survive until the end of the season.

It began after Daniel Flores, a costume supervisor on the MTV supernatural series, posted on Instagram Thursday, December 22 a photo with O'Brien along with a cryptic message. The message read, "Work finish on this guy right here. Thanks for all the memories and a wonderful 6 season run."

He reportedly also answered some fans' questions, saying that it had been confirmed that O'Brien was leaving the show and his last day on set was Friday. When asked how he knew that O'Brien wouldn't be back for another scene, he allegedly wrote, "He starts filming The Death Cure in Feb which means he'll have to start prep after the holiday. We know they have at least 6 episodes left to film and filming got extended to March."

A few days ago, another "Teen Wolf" costume designer, Adam M. West, also hinted at O'Brien's exit by posting a photo of a wrap party with the actor. "The OG base camp party crew on the last day of shooting with Dylan," he captioned it.

"Teen Wolf" just finished filming the first half of the season, while the rest of the season will be filmed in early 2017. Fans, of course, freaked out to learn that their favorite character may be dying in season 6A.

"I'D RATHER WAIT YEARS FOR 6B THAN HAVE A WHOLE SEASON WITH NO STILES IN ANY EPISODE," one fan tweeted. Another wrote, "To say I love Stiles would be an understatement. If he's out so am I." Echoing the sentiment, another fan threatened to quit watching the show if Stiles is out of it. "Teen Wolf isn't teen wolf without STILES wtf," the fan posted.

Flores later corrected his statement on Instagram. "Work finish on 6A w/ this guy right here. Thanks for all the memories and a wonderful 6 season run. #teenwolf #lastseason #stilesstilinski," he changed the caption, but the damage had already been done.

The post on Flores' Instagram page has since been deleted.

"Teen Wolf" season 6 airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on MTV. The bad news about O'Brien's potential exit aside, the show will bring back a familiar face as Matthew Del Negro has confirmed that he will return as Scott's father, Rafael McCall.
