The Super Troopers are sent to the Vermont border to set up a new Highway Patrol station in the contested area, only to create chaos with their antics.
The team is sent to a French-Canadian town, St. Georges Du Laurent, on the border, which technically falls under United States jurisdiction. Tasked with a mission to help the local people adjust to being American citizens, they apparently will face a hard time to mingle with them.
From making chaos during their introduction to speaking nonsense words, they will draw laughs with their humorous and uncanny behaviors. Rob Lowe stars as the town's Canadian mayor, who seemingly will bring at least a little sense of normalcy back into the group.
In the "Super Troopers" sequel, everyone's favorite cops are back (by popular demand) with the long anticipated follow up to the cult comedy classic. When the United States and Canada get into a dispute about the location of the actual border, the Super Troopers, Mac, Thorny, Foster, Rabbit and Farva, are called in to set up a new Highway Patrol station in the contested area. Our heroes quickly revert to their own brand of unconventional police work.
The Broken Lizard consisting of Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter and Erik Stolhanske return as the Super Troopers, with Chandrasekhar once again serving behind the lens. Also written by the comedy group, the film is set to hit theaters across the United States on April 20.
The long-awaited sequel comes 17 years after the first movie, which became a cult movie despite mostly mixed or average reviews. It grossed $18,492,362 in the United States and $23,182,223 worldwide against it $1.2 million budget.
