Dev-Em, portrayed by Aaron Pierre, wears a uniform as he appears to be on duty, while Rasmus Hardiker's Kem is featured with Seg-El in what looks like a bar.
In the comics, Dev-Em was a criminal who became a follower of General Zod. It's unclear which side he's on on the Superman prequel series since the upcoming show takes place a generation before Zod was born.
Kem, meanwhile, is featured in what looks like a bar with Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe). He is an engineer and Seg's best friend. Other photos give new looks at Seg-El's grandfather Val-El, who is played by Ian McElhinney. Seg-El is also seen visiting a woman, possibly his mother Charys El (Paula Malcomson), who is seemingly imprisoned.
Set two generations before the destruction of Superman's home planet, "Krypton" follows twenty-something Seg-El, Superman's grandfather and Jor-El's father, in his attempts to bring order to the House of El and his planet. He doesn't have much time as an Earth-based time traveler, Adam Strange (Shaun Sipos), warns him that "he's under the clock to save his beloved world from chaos."
Also starring on the series are Georgina Campbell as Lyta Zod, a reluctant cadet and warrior in the Kryptonian military, who is in a clandestine, forbidden relationship with Seg-El, and Elliot Cowan as Daron-Vex, the chief magistrate of Kandor charged with defending Krypton's oligarchy. Blake Ritson has been tapped to play Brainiac a.k.a. Vril Dox. The show will also feature Seg's father Ter-El, Doomsday and Hawkgirl.
"Krypton" hails from Warner Horizon Scripted Television and is executive produced by David S. Goyer. It is set to premiere on March 21 on Syfy.
